Our Story

KenGen is Africa's leading geothermal producer and among the top 10 geothermal producers in the world attributed to it's well trained workforce. At the cener of KenGen geothermal prowess sits KenGen Geothermal Training Center, established in 1989 with a role of building employee capacity through specialized technical training. Over the years, KenGen GTC has expanded to offer both internal and external programs on geothermal exploration, development, and power generation in Kenya and beyond.

Today, KenGen GTC has become a key training hub for energy professionals across Africa, through skills development, knowledge sharing, and practical experience to learners. As a premier center of energy training, KenGen GTC remains committed to developing the expertise needed to drive sustainable, affordable, and reliable energy development across the world.
